These images were taken on site at the World Trade Center, and in the streets around it. Some photos you may have seen, others you have not. The photos came from News Photographers and from the people on the scene – Policemen, Firemen, and Emergency Service workers – as it happened.

A word of caution: please do not view these images if you don't want to be brought back to the streets of Lower Manhattan on September 11, 2001.
